It's been a minute since I've posted here as most of the interaction has gone to FB and what not. But this is my most recent development for anyone who isn't on FB.

What flares did you start with?

I have been dreaming of hacking up some extra stock fenders and making a little flare for my fronts out of sheet metal.

Sup man, yea I used ZG fender flares that are meant for 240/280sx's. I used wide ones, as they come in a standard 2.25 and 2.5 inch and then there are the wides which come in sizes 3.25 and also 3.75.

I'm rocking 3.25 inch flares on all 4 corners. My street tires are 275 at all 4 corners and my wheels are 17x10.5 with a +9.6 offset so the wheel/tire combo sticks about 3 inches outside the factory body. I made my order based on this measurement. I went to Formula Drift in Atlanta last year, and at each event, they give away used up tires that can't be used anymore. And since they have all type of sizes, I took home a 265, 275 size tires with different sidewall heights as well, so to see what looked best (even though the tires were flat). Had them mounted for test fitting to the car and that's where it all started from.

I have been driving on the new setup for the past 2 days now. Only rubs in the rear on really harsh pavement dips and drops. I can go up driveways and ramps into parking lots with no rub. Car looks like an animal now. When I get my race rubber on for the 2015 season.....OMG!

From when I went on a cruise with some locals. Put on by a local guy who has a legal R34 GTR here.

I'm thinking this is more like it.

6-piston Front Big Brake Kit: Scion iQ 2012 - 2014

The new setup weighs 1.5 - 2 lbs less than that of the factory wheels with the 225 wide tires I use to run. Power steering cooler is something any serious track enthusiasts should consider however. That's why I have air ducts in the bumper. One feeds the intake coming off the PTuning turbo system. The other side will feed the pws cooler. An oil cooler will sit atop the intercooler in the front.
