Default Anti fouler with e-manage ultimate

Ever since ive had my turbo installed ive had a check engine light on. Passing emissions hasnt been a problem up until now. Pretty much I've always had to test twice, id go the first time they would say too many readiness codes come back in a week. Id go back in a week clear codes again there system wouldn't allow for the too many readiness codes error a second time. Well apparently theyve updated their system and thats not working anymore. So pretty much I have no choice but to try the anti-fouler trick. I have an 07 with an emanage ultimate has anyone with a similar setup had any success. I know it works for some but not everyone.

What codes are you throwing? I had the same problem (throwing P0138 - O2 bank 1 high voltage). Turns out that it is a tuning issue. O2 map should be zeroed (no influence by the ems) and took care of the code. I have an FIC tho. Not sure how it works on an emanage.

I erased them already so I dont remember, pretty positive its for no cats. For cat below threshold is what it said.

No cat code is p0420. You can try antifoulers, but it's not guaranteed to work. Your tune needs to not trip any other codes (like mine does). Surprisingly, I don't have the cat code (run antifoulers).

Doesn't matter what management you have, No Cat code will get tripped for not having a Cat. I run an Ultimate and I have an Anti-fouler on my 02 that I made for like $5 from Advance Auto. I'm code free.

This is the DIY Anti-Fouler that I did. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/tc-...-sports-22180/

Just did the antifouler this weekend had p0420 before antifouler, now have p0420 p0441 and p0445. Just put gas yesterday hoping the p0441 and p0445 are just a brainfart on my part with gas cap.

P0441 p0445 are definitely gas cap related checked it last night and gas cap nearly fell out as soon as I opened the door. Apparently I didnt even bother to twist the cap. I still have 2 more antifoulers that I bought gonna put those on hopefully that does the trick for p0420

Well I was gonna add a 3rd and possibly a 4th antifouler but I dont have room for either. The 02 sensor is already hitting the body so 3rd won't fit. Saw that vibrant makes a j style antifouler gonna try that and if I need to add antifoulers to that. Hopefully that does the trick

Well passed emission today. Dont have to worry about it for 2 years. The only difference from the past 2 times ive reset the ecu was that this time I havent gone into boost/driven hard or gone on the highway. Put maybe 40 miles on the car. I still have 1 monitor in the ecu still incomplete, but ive read that emission testing locations will still let you pass with 1 monitor incomplete.

Just did that this weekend. Works like a charm.

Glad you got through emissions bud!

^^^ thanks man. Got into boost and checked ecu when I got home and the code is back so the antifouler isnt really working for me. But I dont have to worry about it for 2 years so for now feelsgoodman.

Weird. Ive been boosting and it seems to be dormant for now. Did you ream out both anti foulers or just the one like he does in the write up? Maybe its because I am running FIC.

No just the one. 02 <modified <regular <exhaust. For some reason it just isnt working. The CEL doesn't really bother me I just need it gone anytime I need to test. Its only a theory but it seems that if I drive the car easy like not going into boost or going on the highway I can get the most of the readiness monitors to complete their cycles without triggering the code.

I would try and switch it around to see if that fixes it.

Exhaust --->Modified---->Standard---->O2 sensor.

I can't remember which one I have it configured as. I have no cel for CAT's with the Ultimate, and PTuning 3 inch. But if you are still getting the CEL for the cat, swap the Anti-Fouler's around. Should fix it.
