Default Turbo on stock internals

I have a 2007 scion tc 5 speed manual and the engine has 46,000 miles on it and only things I have done so far is got a Injen cold air intake and a TRD exhaust. I'm wanting to get more hp out of it and was thinking about getting a turbo kit for it. How well would that work out with stock internals. Also how much boost would be good without completely destroying my engine.

Search the forums. There's so much information here. Generally, you'd be fine with that low mileage assuming the engine is in good health (not burning oil, good compression etc.). The next most important thing is the tune, and that's always where people skimp and destroy their engines. Don't just download someone else's tune from the internet; it needs to be spot on or there WILL be problems. If you have that all done properly, you should be okay up to about 9 psi. More than that and you start pushing your luck.
