Considering sound deadening the car. Options.
Hey everyone. I'm trying to go for the most cost and time effective way to sound deaden the tC. I'm not going for something "OCD-like" so basically, I'm going to list the areas that I've split the car up into and I'd like to know what you think are the best amount of areas to do some sound deadening on.
Doors
Interior Quarter Panels
Kick Panels
Floor
Back Seat Platform/Riser
C Pillars
Cargo Area Floor
Quarter Panels
Hatch Door
I pretty much took these categories from the SDS website. I'm trying to pay the least amount possible to get "effective" sound deadening, and of course, since this is a DIY project, I'd also like to spend the least amount of time to get the best effect. Hopefully people here have experience with this. I'm pretty much using the various materials from SDS (CLD tiles, MLV, CCF, etc)
Just based on this list off random guessing, I'd obviously say that the Doors, Floor, Cargo Area Floor, and Backseat Riser/Platform are the big ones.
