Dezod Green Headers

Dezod Green Headers
Recently, I was in the market to buy Dezod's Green Headers for my 2010 tC. However, they no longer carry it in stock for the First Generation tC's. After speaking to the owner, I was able to convince him to order more on one condition: that I try and get a few other people interested in buying them as well. If anyone is interested please let me know and I will give you more details as I get them. Thanks!

I'd have to have a few of you guys doing this...there's a minimum run that is required....
Make it happen I'll make it happen for you guys.

I was running a catless header with an exhaust for a while and it was quite obnoxious so I went back to the factory exhaust and it helped quite a bit. Although I never did it, a simple work around for any aftermarket exhaust would be to weld in a high flow cat in the mid-pipe, followed by a vibrant ultra quiet resonator. That combo will really help bring down the smell and the rasp. That vibrant has worked wonders on some nasty sounding cars.

I think that's probably what I'll end up doing. I know Magnaflow offers a "green" header as well, but I haven't seen anyone running one yet, so I'm a little skeptical on throwing $500 to give it a shot. I'd trust Dezod over Magnaflow.

I think that Magnaflow header is just a factory replacement since Toyota no longer makes a lot of OEM parts for our model. If you look at some of the schematics for their header you can clearly see it is a factory replacement in case the original fails.

I picked up a red from tcpete. Ill probably be doing as bbsciontc said and throw a cat/ res on but for now my entire exhaust is factory so we'll see. Ill post a sound clip and ill keep you guys posted on how it goes and what I end up doing in my build thread.

I ran an alphawerks 4-1 with the stock exhaust for years. It was super quiet with some rasp at wot. Wasn't bad for a daily.
Oh, and I never got a high flow cat btw. If I did, I would have looked for one made from 304ss. The MagnaFlow branded one are made from 409 and will begin to rust at the welds. Not a big deal if you are not in the snowbelt, but worth noting.
