06 tC, 5 speed, 266k miles. Just got this and it's surprisingly clean for the mileage... Always liked these cars so I'm stoked to get to build this one.

For those with high-mileage +200K-mile engines, what kind/brand of oil have you been using?

New guy, just bought a 2007 with 255,000 on it. Runs good. I've had good experience with high mileage oil in other high mileage Toyotas so ill be trying that. Hoping to get another 100 out of it.

purchased new in sep 2009, just turned 90,000 last week. have a variety of issues including burning excessive engine oil, 2nd to 3rd grind when cold, rust forming on the bottom driver door, and things that have bothered me since day 1 ownership like the final drive ratio being too short for highway cruising. on my trip down to philly last week the average speed of traffic on the pa turnpike was anywhere from 80 to nearly 100mph. the e350 trans is just geared way too short for those speeds. after nearly 13 years of ownership i plan to sell & purchase a veloster N. it probably won't have the reliability of the toyota, but the thing checks every box i'm looking for currently (hatch, manual, turbo, modern, revs much lower on highway). was a fun ride, on to the next.
