manual trans
i have a 2008 manual tc, I was driving it the other day and my clutch pedal got stuck to the floor. so the first thing I thought was the master cylinder went out so I replaced it and the slave cylinder. when replace my clutch pedal wouldn't come all the back up only half way. I had my tech schools automotive dep. look at it and they said it was the clutch. so yesterday a friend and I finished putting the new clutch in and reassembling the motor. when the car is running I cant put the car in gear and if I do it wants to take off. but with the car not running I can run through all the gears like butter. what could be the problem? could the throw bearing arm be bent or what?

So basically, the clutch is not fully disengaging when the pedal is down? First I would bleed the system to make sure there is no air. I'm guessing you did this, but make sure. Next thing to check is the play on the pushrod of the master cylinder. Since you replaced it, it probably needs adjusting. You may have too much play, meaning that a large portion of the pedal travel isn't actually forcing the fluid through the system. It should be adjustable at the arm where the MC connect the the pedal assembly.
