Pictures- Stock height vs. TRD - as requested
I made a new thread for easier searching later.
Please excuse my dirty-**** car. I literally just snapped this in the parking lot on the way to school.
Mine is TRD drop with 18's. Installed about 5 months ago, so fully settled.
Friend is stock with his own personal touch on stock rims.
Both cars
stock 3/4
stock height
trd 3/4 view
trd rear height
side by side

Why ?
Different sidewall = nearly equal rolling diameter.
Stock tire - 215 / 45 / 17
Sidewall: 3.8in
Radius: 12.3 in
Diameter: 24.6in
Circumfrence: 77.3in
Revs/Mile: 819
My tire -- 225 / 40 / 18
Sidewall: 3.5in
Radius: 12.5
Diameter: 25.1
Circumfrence: 78.8
Revs/Mile: 804.0
When my speedo reads 60, I'm going 61.1
The reading on the stock speedo is 1.9% too slow.

According to the almighty miata.net tire size calculator.
Therefore, my OVERALL WHEEL+TIRE diameter is only 0.5inches larger than stock, so therefore, a stock car with my springs will be 0.5 inches closer to the ground.
I feel that it represents the drop well, although admitedly, not perfectly for someone with stock-sized wheels.

Thanks for the positive replys.
Although it isn't showcased in the least, I have the PrecisionMuffler.com's axleback with the oval tip. That's how stock-ish, and appropriate to the car, it looks.
