Anybody w/ 3" drop on 18x8.5 +35 225/40/18s?
I’ve seen the sticky threads showing the chart with all theoffsets and widths and tire sizes. But I just wanted to know from someonepersonally if they have a similar setup and what problems they had if any.
2007 tc
At stock spec camber I have a 3” drop on stock wheels withraceland coilovers. My tires tuck a little bit.
I’m looking at 18x8.5 with +35mm offset and 225/40/18’s
The chart shows I’ll be ok with tucked tires all the way upto 245’s. I’ve recently replaced my coilovers. The old ones were 3 years old soI replaced them and I’ve over adjusted my camber to the positive side. So Icant get a correct measurement.
Based on my math my new tires will have a 0.2”taller radius. My 215/45/17s are 8.5” wide and 225/40/18s are 8.9” wide with a10mm lower offest on a 1.5” wider wheel that will make the tires stick out anadditional 0.59” Am I correct? I will have to roll my fenders in the back I know.
But what about the front? Will I like it and beable to drive it everday without damaging my tires or fenders?
Other options are raise my up car up more orrun with negative camber. Neither I want to do.
Any input or thoughts?
Thank you so much.

I'm not taking any chances. I can't find any 18x8 +45mm wheels that I love. So I purchased a set of Enkei Kojins and will get them powdercoated the colors that I want and keep my drop and not have to worry so much about rubbing or damaging my fenders.
I have a black '07 Tc 3" drop and am about to powdercoat my driver side wheels blue and my passenger side wheels lime green. It's crazy I know. I'll post pics if anyone wants to see when I get them mounted.
Thanks,

What size Kojins did you get? I'm surpised Enkei makes them in 5x100 agressive fitments, but that's thanks to the FRS/BRZ.

You could get 215/40/18 tires to gain a few more mm of clearance. 3" drop is alot with 18x8.5 et35 and stock-ish camber. You'll definitely get fender contact going over bumps/potholes and full lock turns. Then you'll need a sticker to cover up the fender damage, like below.
