Default 2011+ Spec-D Headlights..

I recently came across Spec-D Tuning's new headlights for the tC, just curious if anyone else has seen them yet?

Here's a better look. What do you think they'll charge for them? I like the look, more up to date. Hope they're not made with that cheap aftermarket plastic.

They are like $350. There is a group buy going on for them right now. If they get 40+ they will knock like $150 off.

Would love to get in on a group buy for these if anyone has info for where I can go to join in.
I requested to join the FB group but I don't have any public pictures of my tC posted in my profile and didn't really intend to post any just to join.

Is there anyway I can confirm I own one on here instead?

You don't have to join the group buy through FB. Just PM kidJustin and ask for the form.

Anyone have those installed?

Since it's using a Bi-Halogen projector that's what I call it haha, how's the output quality from that aftermarket single Lo/Hi Projector,
Is the output compared to the OEM headlights. Only seen them once in person and they did look nice.

These things look really aggressive. But I haven't heard the best things about their output, and I've also heard stories of HIDs not holding up well in their housing.

Can anyone speak to either of those things? I feel it's time to retire my OEM headlights, so I'm tempted to utilize my existing H11 HID conversion kit with an H7 adapter. That way I don't have to opt for a low projector output.

Any comments are appreciated.

Not sure of the build quality, but can't imagine a HID itself wouldn't hold up unless it was a cheap HID kit. If you pop in a Morimoto 3Five kit I don't imagine you'd have any issues. Can always get them if you like the style and to a projector retrofit with FX-R or TSX projectors if they'll fit, then you won't have any issues with output.

Also of note, if you can, try to find some pictures of how these (headlights and taillights) look at night and see what you think.

I know the taillights in particular have very weird/bad light distribution in the "strip" looking things due to the LED placement.
It's so distracting and always bugs me when I see them in real life (the one I've seen in real life looked really dim)

Like this but more noticeable: https://sep.yimg.com/ay/yhst-1116174...11-2013-91.jpg

The headlights' white LEDs do look better, but the orange running lights/signals look bad to me, but of course everyone's opinions are different.

Default LED bulbs..

Does anyone know how easy is it to replace H7 with a LED bulb on these headlights?

They wont fit because LED lights have a small fan which extends beyond the dust cap on the housing.

You will have to modify the cap by extending it out so u can still use it. I molded a 2" PVC end cap on the dust cap so it has some extra room.
