I really wanna be able to do this but first off, I have no idea how the bolt is mounted to the grill. I don't get on how that half U-shaped thing is just hanging there, if you can post more pics of it from the side or how you assembled it, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

does this help? its too much of a pain to take pictures so i just drew it

basically the bolt and the "half u-shaped" thing are the top and bottom and the they squeeze onto the grill

I have always relocated to get better airflow through the grille/intercooler and eliminate the ugly holes in the bumper....As long as you are not boosted with intercooler it shouldnt affect your perfromance at all. But for boosted applications, you deff dont want to put the license plate in that location. Get some simple plugs and some paint to match spray and plug up those holes. Looks clean though man!

Good thing that 1 inch by 12 inch part of the license plate won't make a bit of difference on airflow to an intercooler mounted in the lower grille. YAY

Oh how I miss living in GA... In New York, where we live now, they require it and the front plate bothers me to no end... Luckily though, we still have a permanent address in GA, so the front plate is only temporary till I can register it there.

Oh and hi! This is my fist post having just upgraded my 2007 tC to a brand spankin' new 2012! Its such a difference!

kinda happened to my car too, but mine wasn't as bad as yours. I might touch it up a bit with touchup paints when it's warmer.

I got myself some home depot bolts for few bucks for my bumper holes for now (Not sure will I invest on some bumper plugs in the future)

i know this is a old thread and its kinda off subject.. sorry.. but does anyone know where i could find a license plate bracket for the tC? (1st gen) i wrecked my car last Feb and the body shop put these crappy big bolts and just drilled them into the bumper with no bracket. i looked at my car the other day and noticed one of the bolts was loose. i tightened it up and looked at it today and Bam the bolt is gone and my plate is sitting sideways. i cant go without a plate because in Missouri its required. id hate to just put an even bigger screw in there but im kinda stuck with doing that at this point. sorry this is so long. just had to explain myself.

with the PTuning relocating bracket, it creates a hole in the tow hook cover... how did you cover it up?
