Manual Shifter pattern - toward right?
I'm not sure how to best describe it. I've always notice from pics that the manual shifter seem to tilt toward the right. Driving it, I notice that to be the case.
What do I mean? On other manual transmission (Honda and Nissan for example), if you were to push straight directly forward, it's the 3rd gear. For first gear, you lean just a bit toward the left. And the same with 5th toward the right.
On the tC, it seems like directly straight ahead is 1st. #rd and 5th is farther right. So when you roll through the gears, it seems like you are moving farther and farther right compare to other cars.
Have you noticed that? I noticed that with several tCs.
Is there a reason for this? Meaning is it because these cars are built in Japan, and the driverside is on the right?
