Got that right. I have tried with the xB2 to no avail and I didn't want to spend the time to figure out exactly what the thresholds are of it to defeat it. It might be a delta of vss or some sort of g-sensor like in the FJs. I know of ways to work around both, but again, it's all a liability.

it seems speed sensitive (as far as rearming)..my buddy has the tc2 and he brought it over the day he got it. we talked about disabling the traction controle but im affraid by somehow "spoofing" it or the part of the ecu that controles it would affect other things in the system. however i think the traction controle is its own modual..not sure..if so then it could prove to be easier than i thought.

I road race on a race track, I don't care about liability reasons....LOL. Not that I'm going to buy a 2011 (with the talks of the FT-86 coming out in 2012), but "legal" issues? This is the F/I section. Once I drive it off the lot, I never return to the dealer. The only Legal issues I see is the Manufacture trying to tell me what I can and can't do with my own car.
I voided the warranty on my 2006 3 months after buying it because I boosted it.

Understood in your case, but others don't have the same agenda.

True that. My 350z had a button to disable to Traction control and did not re-engage. If you turned the car off, and then restarted it, it would be back on of course. But a lot of the guys like myself (to prevent forgetting to hit the button when restarting), we just pulled the fuse in the engine bay.
From a demographic point of view, I can see why Toyota probably wanted to re-engage the TC after 30mph. My 350z isn't exactly marketed towards youth, so you expect responsible adults to be driving a 350z when they came out. tC1 and tC2 on the other hand....

is traction control the same thing as ESC?
if so, heres an article from edmunds/inside line claiming to turn off ESC for higher slalom speeds, its around the middle of the article.

Magazines rate the 1st gen manual commonly at 15.6. Auto I forget, but slower than 16.2. Of course you usually can knock off a good .5sec off of a Magazines time to get the "real world" performance numbers for most cars they ever test.
I laugh every time I hear someone saying that these articles use professional drivers to test the cars, as if they always extract the best numbers out of them. These are Automotive Journalist that test them...emphasis is on the Journalist.

i guess you missed the point of the , what i was trying to get at with this whole thing is the fact that any dyno can give inaccurate results if not used properly and the fact that everyone seems to think that dyna pack reads higher than all the other dyno's is well inaccurate information. Its understood not all dyno's are the same and will read differently given different conditions. this is just my opinion but if all the dyno's were operating correctly, set up correctly, calibrated correctly, exact conditions met (air temp and so forth) then we wouldnt see huge gaps like we have been seeing. Dont get me wrong they will read differently but get this point, all dyno's are ment to be an accurate representation of power produced at any given time.
