You can turbo it, but the trans is your weakest link. If you run a trans cooler and drive it responsibly at a lower boost level, you will be ok.

Big money involved buddy. It's all about "a little more fun" like you say, but it isn't that easy or cheap hombre.

True. Bolt on kit is a $4700 investment minimally speaking. If you have the coin, it can be done and it has been done by many already. For others though, it's out of the question.

Is the stock transmission not strong enough to handle the extra boost? Can you share some of the problem customers have encountered regarding the transmission after boosting?

Trans slipping or dieing after 320whp. Simple as that.

Haha. No no I know. You were just like "simple as that", so I was all like, "Yep, boop, dead."

It's just an automatic transmission is a tough game with these cars.

I wanted to specifically note "these cars", and not say "automatics" because... well... in the boosted drag world, automatics trump. So I figured I'd only mention these cars you know.

Built auto trans drag Supra for example is an entirely different animal. Entirely.

Keeping in the realm of factory auto trans that are boosted is a little more parallel. However, you need to discount BIG turbo diesels etc.
