abredtC2's 2015 tC2 Build Thread
Avid Toyota enthusiast, figured I would start a thread.
First off, my previous ride:
13' that I owned for two and half years. Had a great time with the car, attended meets and was regularly involved in the community. In August I started school and with an hour commute, meant I'd have to drive through winter salt which I did not want to expose the car to. My heart told me to stay with Toyota so I traded into a 2015 6sp tC in Absolutely Red.

First picture of the car the day I bought it:
The car was shipped with not a single piece of optional equiptment, so I haggled the dealer into the OEM rear lip spoiler (high profile), OEM mudguards and OEM carpet floor mats. Also had the car completely rustproofed.

A week later I ordered the TRD front strut tie brace, TRD oil cap, OEM all weather mats, and the OEM carpet cargo mat:
Installed
Then another week later, this arrived:
I had Xpel applied to my last car but this go around I couldn't justify the 600 dollars, so I decided to try a leather bra. Fit and quality is great and I would recommend the Colgan for anyone considering.
So how it looked:

Next I ordered a set of OEM Zelas Toyota emblems from Nigel JDM-Parts.
Unfortunately the front emblem base of the Zelas is slightly different than the one on the tC2 as I found out:
So I worked around it and ended up fitting the the new emblem on the tC2 base:

Nvm the plate, still need to change it.

Drove the car for a month until I decided on what I wanted to do about the suspension. I originally planned on going with the TRD springs, but for the money, it is not worth a 1 inch drop. After doing some research I discovered the best drop/progression rate of any product (non coilover) were S.Techs. Got a great discount on a new set and:
Fresh from Japan!
Installation underway:

A before/after:
Very happy with the springs. I instantly noticed a difference on the post drive, more road feel and response from the steering wheel. Starting to remind of a certain car.

Shortly after that I figured I would try out the ezlip...
Very happy with how this product turned out as I'm not big into drilling into my car. Not bad for a quick easy cosmetic mod that also offers protection.
So this is how it currently looks, notice the S.Techs have settled also:

The S.techs really do offer a great amount of drop for just springs, just enough in my opinion as I'm not into the whole slammed scene.

It's a nice dress up. I can tell a slight difference, but maybe I'm just fooling myself. The sway bar set would probably be a better upgrade first.

Anyhow, here's an updated pic. I picked up a few more things for the car but haven't been able to get time during school.
