Default New CNT Racing 4-1 Catless Header Impressions

I was fortunate enough to try out the new CNT Racing 4-1 Catless Header. I have it paired with the Tsudo S2 Catback Exhaust System. Impressions/Review at the bottom of this post

Sound clips (use headphones):

Stock header:

After installation:

After 500 miles of harder than normal driving:

Installation:
The installation was fairly straight forward.

PB Blaster is highly recommended to help with all the rusted bolts. I used WD-40 because that was all I had and it was still a pita to get everything loosened, so save yourself a headache and pick up some PB Blaster.

I had to use a breaker bar to loosen the spring bolts on the stocker header.

The most important thing and biggest headache I came across was that the stock spring bolts are not compatible. I had to go to my local Home Depot and pick up a pair of 3/8 bolts, washers and nuts (Total of $1.94). (I hear this is also an issue with some of the other headers for our cars).

Impressions:
The construction of the actual header is up to par with other headers I have experience with. Very good welding. The gasket provided fits snug.

Negatives

Compared to the Tsudo + Stock Header inside the cabin, it is much louder past about 2.5k RPM; but in stop and go traffic, it's fine. There is a slight drone cruising at 80mph in 6th which was not there with Tsudo + Stock Header. But I did not even notice the drone until I turned my music down and focused on it. There is a rasp as well, as overly-emphasized in the Youtube sound clip. In person, it's not too bad, but again, it is there.

Positives

My plan was to not run this setup for long because I assumed it would be too raspy, unbearably loud, and reduce my low end torque being 4-1. But after 500+ miles, I decided to keep it. The increased noise levels are actually very enjoyable in my opinion. I also noticed no decrease in my low end torque. The performance gains are much better than expected. Wide open throttle in 2nd gear, you can feel the extra torque. You get pushed back in your seat that much more.

What other headers were your benchmark for build quality?

And that empty parking lot is lovely. I'm trying to recognize the location...Ikea?...

As far as tC2 headers, the Weapon R header. I didn't have them side to side but the quality was comparable.

My usual mechanic didn't have any negative comments either.

And yes, CP Ikea, lol. We always use it as our premeet spot for car meets

Do you guys normally get a good turnout at those meets? I need to get my butt down there but the car is never clean and I feel like it's not modded enough lol.

The turnouts at the meets down here are pretty good, just depends on the meets. As for the DMV tC2 Crew meets, we haven't had one as of late. Look on the Facebook group for the meet we are going to in Glen Burnie. You should definitely come out since your near there.

As for being stock, honestly most of the cars are pretty bone stock. You aren't that stock; you are fairly modded out other than wheels.

Looks like you forgot to clean it before you ran it.

It's always a good idea to wipe down the header with some alcohol so you don't burn in the fingerprints.

With the cel fix I disconnected the positive on the battery and the check engine came on. What can I do?

Well I installed the L-shape sensor on the header and a adapter for the second O2 sensor on the S-pipe.

The L shaped thing is the cel eliminator and it goes on the s pipe. The first O2 sensor goes directly into the header with no adapter.

I thought it goes on the header. Why on the S-Pipe though?
