Default Switching out Factory Radio for a new one

Hey guys,
So i have a friend who has a 2011 tC and wants my factory radio from my 2015 tC. i thought it would be an easy switch but most of the adaptors are different. my question is is there harness adaptors i could maybe purchase? or does anyone know where i could find diagrams for both so i could splice and see what i got to do

Well you most definitely don't want to cut any thing and splice into the factory harness that will do nothing but cause headaches later in life if you ever have a problem with that radio or want a new one. I haven't heard of any one making a jumper harness to make it plug and play. Why not just go aftermarket?

Check crutchfield.com. My last radio/cd player purchase included a custom harness that fit the oem connectors on the vehicle.

They have harness that will plug and play from factory harness to aftermarket. I haven't heard of one that will go from an old factory to newer factory radio.

Sorry, I thought you were getting a new aftermarket.

Might be worth a call to see if they'd quote a specialty harness. Here's their contact info.

Ah that's cool I didn't even know that's a possibility. Good info.
