Turbo Kit or Air suspension
Im debating if i should get the dezod turbo kit or air suspension for my 2014 scion tc. The turbo kit is $4700 and the Air suspension is about $3000. I want the turbo but my car right now is on ____ty raceland coilovers and i kind of want to replace them.

the thing with turbo and our cars is that.....they are still slow with turbo. also u can only upgrade your turbo so much until the weak tranny will give out. meaning if u get a turbo u should also upgrade your tranny at the same time....and thats more expenses

Just remember, if its a daily driver the turbo will come with other problems sooner or later which will slowly add on to that initial $6,000 price, and all just for a "mildly quick" car. As much as i love tc's It shames me to say this but if its speed youre looking for you should put the 6k toward something faster with more options for upgrades.

Then it's either you got a dud or you have the throw bearing issue on the manual that has nothing to do with driving it hard.

Its degraded over 120k miles. Ive replaced my clutch and throw out bearing (both were in good shape). I've tried oem and aftermarket fluids. Tried bushings. It was great when it was new but I've accepted the fact it's just a daily driver not a racecar platform.

Its ability to perform under hard driving conditions. I get locked out of gear when upshifting and the car won't downshift without some harsh feedback. At first it was intermittent. Now I can predict where it acts up. I have to hold pressure on the gear without forcing it until it finally drops in. When coming out of gear it under higher rpm it literally kicks out of gear.
Even during normal driving it has been very stubborn. Mind you mine is a late model first gen but it's still Apples to apples. These are economy cars marketed to the young crowd. I love the car and take great care of it, but spending money to make it faster would be a poor investment. If you want a fast car sell it and real performance car.

Comparing a first gen is not apples to apples. First gen is basically a corolla. Plus u could do turbo, Trans, and clutch for less than it'd cost to get a car that's even close to 300whp. Unless u went used of course. I just like the look of 2014. If i had an 11-13 I'd prob agree lol.
