Default Offset for 2011 tC

I just got a new tC. Its black and i wanted to know the best offset for wheels. Really like Rota grids (they may be played out to some) but i like the look.
I want to know what offset would get me right inside the fender so if i wanted to drop my tC later it would look sick. Sorry this is my first post i didn't see a noob section or maybe i didn't look hard enough.

Anyway thanks for the help.

I found the rotas in +38 and +20. I would think the 38's would be good if not I could use a spacer. Or if anyone knows if the 20's would be perfect I would get those. I'm talking 18x9.5 here. Or would it be cool to go 18x10 in the back and 18x9.5 in the front or would that be to much work? Keep in mind I'm a college student but the only thing I see being a problem is tire cost.

I'm biased, but I don't like staggered wheels on a FWD car.

I'm running 18x9.5" with a +45 now and it works, but I've ordered 3mm spacers to help.

You should be perfect with +38. THe +20 will hang out the side and look stupid.

Super noob question. The tc2 bolt pattern is 5x114 right? I believe it is but I'm ordering and they have 5x100 and 5x114.

Hate to say it so early, but search is your friend (not to mention there is a link in my signature).

That will depend on tire size, suspension setup, alignment settings, etc. What works for one person should be used as a guideline for others, not gospel.

For example, my tires are a lot wider than what kahsperr is running. Although we both have 255's on (I have them on the front as well), we are running a different type of tire which will change the stance of them. Track type tires naturally sit wider than street tires.

But yes, the pattern is 5x114.3mm.

^ My bad I had looked at your thread but I didn't edit my post. I figure I'll just order and see what happens.

The rear wheels sit perfectly. I would have chosen a 32 or 30 offset in the front instead of a 35 if I could do it over again.

^ the back perfect. So I think the +38's will be fine if not I put spacers.

Default Wheel fit check

I'm about to order 18x9.5 +15 aka 1 inch. Any positive offset pushes away from the center so I should be set right? It will bring me away from the hub, 1 inch / +15 (15mm)

Ive seen this on club tc so i figured i should post it here too... you could probably get away with a few mm difference than this chart but anything drastically different will most likely rub.

I agree the 2nd gen charts previously posted in other threads are pretty much useless. glad you figured out what you need, just wanted to catch you before you ordered some 9.5's w/ +15 offset, that would stick out like crazy.

what did you decide on?
I got 19x8.5 w/ +35(i think), wish i woulda gone +30.. Although its very close to that maximum flush without rub look
