Default 06 xA camshaft sensor

Hello I'm new here!

I have a 2006 Scion xA and recently the check engine light has been coming on and off. Went to get it checked and they informed me it was my camshaft sensor. Does anyone have any info on how to replace and where to get the part?

Did they tell you which sensor? There is the Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve assembly and then there is the Camshaft Position Sensor. The Timing Oil control is located just to the right of the Alternator. A single bolt holds it in. Oreilly's carries this as a replacement item but they call it something like Camshaft Solenoid. It's a $100 replacement item.
