Post your xA pics here!!! 56K BEWARE
#1901
Here's my xA!
It's traveled a whole 56K miles from coast to coast so it's got a couple dents here and there, but I keep the paint in tip-top shape. It actually belong to my grandfather for the first half of its life. It wasn't taken care of much because he had lung cancer and couldn't do much. When he passed away he left it to my mom who passed it along to me. I fixed it right up and now it looks pretty good.
I'm currently a college student and this car is amazing on gas and fun to drive!
So here's the pics! Hopefully there will be more to come!
The only things I have added so far are the Alpine iDa-x100 with a KTP-445 power pack, Polk Audio db6501 components for the front and Polk Audio db651 coaxials for the rear doors, 6 Blue LEDGLOW things lol and an aftermarket alarm system since this car came BONE stock lol
I did all the work on the car (except alarm system since my grandfather had that done early) and hope to be getting a new battery and lowering springs soon!
EDIT: I totally forgot to ask, but if anyone who changed their turning lights to the clear kind and doesn't want their old amber ones, or is looking to sell them let me know! You can see one of the clamps on my right one broke when I rammed it into a really strong trunk (suitcase) way back when lol

-Yeah, I'm gonna get the Eibach springs
-But what I don't see is why I can't put an aftermarket grille for an 04-05 an my 06... It looks like it would fit... (minus the bolting I don't know that would look)
-Yeah, I'll have to wait on that bake job... They look so much better re-done though...
-Those tires are smaller than the stock ones right? They look good, but how do they ride?

The other option you have is running a bumper from an 04-05.
And the tires are no smaller in diameter than the stock 185/60R15s, they just have a slightly shorter sidewall. The shorter sidewall take a lot of the wiggle out of the handling that the 15s have.

The area where the grille meets the bumper is a little different, on the 06 it's less of an angle, and the 04-05 is more angled. You would have to do some custom fab work to make any grille from the 04-05 fit the 06.

You said you're running the eibach springs, but I thought you had some coilovers? Is that last picture the drop with eibach springs?

I bought a mazada racing tow hook from ebay. I took the front end (red part) from the ebay tow hook and cut the stock scion hook. I also had to buy a piece of all thread (12mm) and borrow the tap from work to get both half to mate up. But if you search scion racing tow hook on ebay you can get it for about $50 shipped. The route that I went with cost about $45 shipped plus labor.

Sorry, I don't have a write up. But the projector is the morimoto mini h1. It is an aftermarket Bi-Xenon HID that TheRetrofitSource design. It is very easy to do. The projector have a thread system that use an H4 washer plate to help align the rotation of the cut off shield. The only time consuming part is baking the headlight so that the glue that hold both half of the headlight together is soft enough so that you can split the lense from the back portion. You can learn more about retrofitting HID projector from hidplanet.com The projector itself is okay but not to my liking. It have too much light in front of the bumber and not enough down the road. My next set will be using projector from an e46 bmw. Just have to wait for my new set of headlight to come in so that I can start.

I got rid of the coilovers (well, technically, they're sitting in the basement) over a year ago. Went with Tokico HP blues and the Sportlines. Love the combo, and wish I went with this setup years ago.

how does hp blues + sportlines > coilovers? i can understand maybe adjustable shocks like koni yellows + sportlines is a better comparison to coilovers. which coilovers do you have? is it really that bad? selling them? xD

If you're interested in them, let me know, and I'll get some photos for you. They're Ksport Kontrol Pros with 30k miles on them. One of the rear shocks blew out, but I was able to get 2 warranty replacement shock units that I never installed. Still fresh in the packages.
They do have a little surface rust, but if you spray them down with coca-cola and hit them with a wire brush, it should clean right up.

Nice, I definitely want a better ride I have a 30 min commute with 75% highway. Those Tokicos are sold individually though wtf... But I'll try that setup out. Is it best to just swap everything at once (springs and shocks) or can springs go on first then shocks later? If you don't mind can you post some more pics of yours. I love looking at it lol plus you get some good shots (and HQ)

Seeing that I'm in college with a $100 a week income, I'll have to wait for the summer internship to afford that setup, but I dig it. I wanted the back a wee bit lower, but I guess I can throw some bass in the trunk
Keep the pictures coming though, I love how low people can get their xAs LOL if I went as low as that dude above me I'd be grinding everything downtown... SC has the worst roads I swear...
