My wife still drives our 06 XA, with 55000 miles. No problems with it.

127k on my 05 xA, recently began having problems.
Had to replace ignition coil and have had multiple issues with driver side window coming off the track due to broken window clips.
Rear windows on both sides wont work at all, likely due to electrical reasons.

Finished my stereo system, thanks to a local stereo installer Steven here on the Central Coast-Cali (if anyone local needs his expertise with a install, he has good/fair rates, just let me know).

70k on my ride now, holding onto her for a few main reasons. 1. I own her, 2. still fun to drive manual, good/solid mpg, 3. good overall car with good-decent versatility, durability, etc.

The only way I'd sell at this point in time, is to go higher mpg (55+ average) , something that looks good, good versatility, etc ( I don't see anything on the market with a combo like this , that sweeps me off my feet). It just doesn't make sense in my life to let her go (I even considered a xB1, like it, but not as good MPG, and they both share the same engine/tranny… so it would be like driving the same car anyways.

Sounds like a good example of how cars will run when you maintain them!

Default My 2006 xA

I'm still here. I bought my car in October '05 brand new. Have never had a problem. I'd by another one if they came out again.

Default New 2006 xA Owner

New to the forum and the Scion community. Bought the 2006 xA for my 16 year old daughter. It's an auto in great shape with 170,000 miles. Now if I could just get the aftermarket remote keyless lock/unlock to work...it's been frustrating.

Daughter loves the car!!!

It really is a beautiful Scion, honestly it's the nicest one in my opinion (along with the tC and the FRS). First and hopefully only car I will ever have to own, I love my xA more than words can express. Still so much more I want to do with it.

It's actually a really cool car! My mum found her daughter one, and helped her buy it as a feel better gift I've been messing with it since! That's really cool of you!! Is she going to sign up on the forum?

Mine is a 2004, was a heirloom-graduation-birthday present from my grandfather. Ever since I changed out my headlights I haven't once lost the "mod bug". I have haters, but bottom line i'm only doing this for me.
