Default xA's with Dual Exhaust

As many of you know, I have the first xA with Dual Exhaust. And at Scion: EXPOSED, I saw a couple xA's with DE.

I just want to get an idea of how many xA's there are with Dual Exhaust.

Also:

When did you install it? (post a date if you can)

What made you want to install Dual Exhaust?

And, if you don't want Dual Exhaust, post your reasons why.

I won't be putting a dual exhaust on my g/f's xA.
1. you will most likely lose power instead of gain it unless you spend time tuing it which no one does.
2. It is a small engine and it will run more efficently with a single exhaust
3. 99.99999% of cars that have dual exhaust have it for show.
Plus, i can get a good deal on the magnaflow exhaust.

I have the Tsudo Fireball Small Canisters. Each one was $50.

Installation ran about $100.

Dual exhaust on a single header car is a pointless weight addition and will probably cuase you to loose backpressure killing your low end torque. Since the 1nz-fe doesn't have much of that, installing a dual exhaust would be nothing bit a show mod and ricey in my opinion, not to mention the performance loss.

actually, since a dual exauhst will have a Y pipe at some point, backpressure may increase and peak power may go down, depending on how its set up.

also, I have STILL yet to see anyone post a dyno plot showing any loss of low rpm power due to an open exauhst. The dyno I posted of a guy running no muffler at all showed no signs of this.

our engine has ZERO OVERLAP in the cams when it wants thanks to its variable timing mechanism, when there is zero overlap, you don't need backpressure.

Default HUH?

True dual exhuast on a 1.5 litre engine... that would require a stupid investment and as said above, will add weight and decrease available torque output. It will also sound poor, having two cylinders pumping through two tubes... don't do it. Add a fake exhaust tip if you want it for looks.

Leave the dual exhausts for engines that requre that much breathing and don't have a transverse mounted engine...
