2005 Scion xB - hose question from canister
So I can't smog it in CA due to the visual passing on the attached photo. The Hose is missing from the Charcoal Canister. I can't find a good diagram to figure what and where the hose goes too. HECK, I can't even find the manual at the local auto parts stores.
The one diagram I found is a basic full schematic of the fuel system and I can only locate two hoses coming out of the Canister in the schematic. Want to be sure I get the right part. It was a test only smog site and don't/won't do anything or give better details.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Looks like you're missing the charcoal filter. Check the pictures in this post. The large hose missing on yours is connected to the charcoal filter.

Look at the lower right of this picture. The charcoal filter looks to be part of the canister assembly and then you can follow the dotted lines to see the applicable hoses that attach to it. You should be able to attach a rubber hose directly from the open port on your canister from your picture directly to the other connection if you can find the correct sizes without having to buy a new filter or canister assembly. The filter does nothing more than filter the gas vapors through the charcoal because tree huggers.
