Default Anyone recommend supercharging or turbo charging an xA?

My xA's an automatic, I have always been curious...I see all these other cool a** xA's and small hatches turbo charged and I wouldn't mind the gains for my car.

Let me know what your thoughts are

Supercharger would be better for an automatic, as turbos don't start giving you anything till higher RPM. I don't know what the automatic is like in terms of how long it revs out till it shifts.

Unless you can start with it in 1, rev it out, push the gear shifter into 2, ect (I've never owned an automatic before so I literally have no idea if it works like that).

But Superchargers give gains in lower RPM range

TRD Turbo Tuning Plan | TRD
bB TRD??? / ist TRD??? | TRD
Actual TRD option in Japan! Sadly, not sold in USA.
~150 HP from ~110, so a minor bump up. See xA forced induction section for tuners getting 300 HP+.
Like anything, more you spend, faster it'll go! But at some point, easier to buy a faster car.

生産終了 (No longer in production)

But you can still get them shipped to the US though. Same kit for most 1NZ-FE's, Yaris and Soluna Vios and Echo, ect.

And faster car sure, but then loose the character of doing your own thing I'm really against the buy a faster car thing In some cases it works, all depends on your personal goals.

Plus if your only a road car that you want quick and not building a full time race car (or even part time), it's a good one. And the power to weight ratio makes a big difference. Hell even if you were building a full time race car, the engine isn't the focus, because you would build out and swap in whatever you can fit that meets your goals as long as you have the chassis/drivetrain you want.

Forced Induction forum on here defiantly has some stuff too.

Also look up anything forced induction for the 1NZ-FE specifically, you'll find a TON of cool stuff :D

It's merely a thought, I would love to boost it but I dunno if that's gonna happen, who knows honestly.

My little guy's got so many miles and the last thing I need is to spend all this money on boosting it only to get +40hp and I'm not tracking the car or racing or nothing, plus I want to try and keep this car as long as possible...don't really want another to tell you the truth.

I just like hearing what other people have to say :DDD
