Default Bad Ignition Coil?

P0304 is the cylinder misfire code for cylinder 4.

When I switch the number 4 ignition coil with the number 2 coil the code changes from P0304 to P0302 the cylinder misfire code for cylinder 2.

Is this a slam dunk for a bad coil or could I missing something?

So far I've only change out a bad looking number 4 spark plug.

Thanks for any response.

You've got it right, that would be a diagnosis for a bad ignition coil.

Thank you for your response. I rarely if ever question simple logic.

Any thoughts on why I didn't get a code that specifically said the coil was bad? P0354
