Default TO Bearing?

So Im driving home today and I hear a quiet squel coming from my car, not to loud. Fist time i have noticed it. Sounds like its coming from the engine, and it goes away when I push the clutch it. I have the original clutch in it an my car, and the car only has 13k.

I have heard squeking TO bearings after clutch install, happened to me in my mustang a few years back. But never in a car that has not had any work on the clutch.

Mine did the same thing at 30,000. I just got my car back today after a week at the dealer for the TO bearing. They replaced mine under warranty. Bring it in! I have had the clutch, to bearing, transmission housing, a few other bearings, and the spider gear replaced under warranty (all at nearly the same time, mind you).

It seems like the xB's weak spot is the driveline/transmission ...

Yeah, it's my only real complaint about the whole car.

Please post your results in dealing with the dealership. This is a real hit and miss area. Sushiboy scored where some of us have been rejected. My dealer basically told me that for $1054 they would replace the clutch that I warped. Uhh... no. After a few thousand miles, the noise pretty much went away.

The dealer did NOT want to warranty my clutch at first. I then went to the head of the Scion department at the dealership. She was able to get the repair covered under warranty.

Then, 2,500 miles after the install, the TO bearing started squaking. I also noticed a lot of clutch shudder, and difficulty getting it into gear (e.g. it ground a lot going into gear). The scary part was I was now at 30,500 miles.

However, because it was related to the clutch they installed under warranty, they took care of it. Heck, they even gave me a free Yaris rental car. I have been very impressed with my dealership so far (Toyota of Gladstone (Oregon)).
