Default Bend Over and take it like a man..........

So i've been wanting to do the Tuneup on the xB since i got it
again... i was the 2nd owner so who knows what was done prior and the car has been great thus far ( 05' with 45k on the odometer)

I want to call a dealership in long island by my gf but anyone here have a rough estimat on how bent over they are going to get me? lol

I was thinking

Full tune up/plugs etc etc
Trans flush
(already did radiator before winter)

I'm gonna throw out a 400 dollar figure.... but if you've had it done it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

They don't actually recommend trans flushes anymore, just a drain and fill. You can do that yourself, you can also replace the plugs easily too.

Plugs, trans flush, oil change, brake fluid change, pads rotors etc those things you can do yourself in a day and its very simple

if you were to do it yourself shouldn't cost more than 100bucks

A month? Hahahaha.
I haven't waxed mine in 6!

Winter here is from October to March. It's not even worth trying to wash the car. It's full of crap and salt within a day.

Also, get a bottle of Seafoam. People swear by that stuff.
Do it BEFORE the oil change though.

Below 70 is cold for me here in So. Cali. HA HA!

Seriously though, just get the fluids and some good spark plugs and inspect the brakes. This car is VERY low maintenence.

We've had an unusually cold winter here in the burgh. Pittsburgh that is lol. I would consider above 30 warm. But i am kinda weird anyway. I don't wear coats and only wear a jacket if it's below 10. t-shirts is all i wear lol. I even used to wash my car in 20 degree weather to the point where the soap would freeze while i was washing it and i would have to get a bucket of warm water to finish.

But back on topic, lol. I wouldn't do anything other than plugs and air filter (if dirty). And even plugs i'd be hesitant of. Check them first. Even as the 2nd or 3rd owner, these cars are built great and need very little maintenance other than fluids. Change the oil and save your money for when it actually needs something
