Default Project xB-Coil Packs

So my first question is, I'm about to grab some new coil packs, real badass ones, they burn hotter, so my question is what new alternator do I have to get? If any? What would fit in my 2005 xB? Or is there another mod up I can get made for this car as far as the alternator?

"Badass" Coil Packs that "burn hotter" will do nothing to improve the performance of your xB. Most of that stuff is a total waste of money.

Beat me to it. And if it doesn't have any coil pack issues, don't do anything.

And why are you looking to "mod up" the alternator...do you think the super "real badass" coil packs that allegedly burn hotter than the face of the sun, in conjunction with a 1,000,000 amp alternator, are going to suddenly give you the equivalent of a 'flux capacitor' under the hood?

If you bought a car to go fast then you picked the wrong one...

There's actually a whole web site / catalog devoted to stuff like you described. Google JC Whitney in Chicago. Anything you see in their inventory that states it will make you car go faster will do absolutely nothing for it. (I'm sure they carry the coils you inquired about.) They also have Fuel Line Magnets that simply attach to your fuel line and promise to "align the molecules in your gasoline for cleaner / more efficient burning." Yea, right.

Badass coil packs will just burn your plugs faster. The stock ones make eat stock plugs in 30K. You would be better served putting iridium plugs in
