How do I increase my Idle?

The idle air control valve can get plugged with carbon - which is one reason the idle speed can drop. If you really need to up the idle speed, there is a screw on the throttle body that will open the throttle plate a bit. However, at some point it will throw a code - so relief will only be temporary.

should be right next to the big spring. Just loosen that jamb nut and turn that threaded rod in until you like the idle and re-tighten the jamb nut.
Sorry, no pictures. I traded my 06' TCM Box for a 2015 tC2.5 RS9.

How can you check to see if the idle is bad? Right now my idle in drive remains at about 600 rpm. When I have the headlights on and sometimes the a/c on at a stop the rpm cycles up and down. Is this a normal thing on the Xb?
