I just purchased an 05' xB, Release Series in Solar Yellow. It's got 268k on it.

I'm having two issues with it. When I run the a/c, I have zero acceleration until it decides to kick in and start going. It's a definite problem when trying to pull out into traffic.

I've also found that I have the same issue when the a/c is NOT on. Light turns green and I hit the gas, and it thinks about it for a bit and then slowly slowly starts to go.

There's no shaking like it's going to stall out. It just doesn't move until something engages or kicks in.

I've had my amazing mechanic check everything out. It all checks out good. New air intake box put in this week, new filter, hoses. Massive clean of MAS. All cylinders are firing. Spark plugs brand new. We are at a loss as to what could be going on.

Anyone else have/had this issue with their xB? It's very frustrating, and also a bit dangerous. It runs fine once it kicks in. I can reach good speeds and maintain them. It's only on initial acceleration.

Have you checked for any slack in the throttle cable? Motor mounts?
