Pioneer AVIC D1 installed in tC?
Anyone have the pioneer avic d1 installed in there tC yet? I wanna see pictures of this because im wondering if it will fit in the tC while still being able to open and close the radio door. thanks...

It will fit fine. You will have to redrill the mounting holes to scoot it back a bit but there is no problem. I don't htink anyone else has one yet, but everyone wants them. They should fit just like the other double DIN units.

Not a great pic, but I put the AVIC-N2 in. I tried every way, but I couldn't get the door to close, while getting the unit to fully open. So I took the door off, cut it in half, remounted it deep into it's slot so it looks functional, but really not. I thought about the DD, but really like the screen flipping out like it does. I also get an additional cubby hole, lighted up like the lower.
Like iowagary said, you will have to drill new mount holes in your existing bracket. Mine has several now
In the pic, I wasn't finished putting everything back together, trim, etc. Pretty cool, def a conversation piece every time (they will play with it 100 times if you let them)
