Default Pivot Voltage Stabilizer

ok, i just got my pivot raizin voltage stabilizer. i put it in today and right off the bat i noticed that the stereo is much louder now. i used to keep the volume on 40 and it pumps loud. now it sounds just the same at 35. i haven't been able to tell if the lights are brighter since its during the day. other than that i'm not sure if i can really tell about anything else so far. i need to drive a little while with it-the driving i did so far was sitting in traffic. they say that it's supposed to add some power, better response, etc etc. they did a dyno with the volt stabilizer and their super earth ground on a 2002 RSX type S. HP increased bt 12 and torque increased by 5.

this link is to the super earth and volt stabilizer. if you click on Super Earth PDF and look on the bottom it shows the dyno charts.

I don't get it. A voltage regulator for your car?

strange...your car already has a Vreg as part of the charging system....but I can see how groundwire kits help the sensors work faster creating more efficient power.

Where did you get the Pivot Voltage Stabilizer? I checked their links to authorized dealers briefly and didn't find anything.

can you easily disconnect that thing? I'd be interested in some dB readings of the stereo with and without your new gizmo. I accelerate quickly more often than not and have never noticed a drop in the volume of my stereo when I'm doing it.

no offense but I doubt your new gizmo is actually helping anything.

It's not really a voltage regulator or any type of "thing" really, it's a set of additional/improved ground wires. It will probably make your headlights brighter, and I wouldn't be surprised if the stereo is louder. However, I would not expect a 12 hp increase. I've seen dynos (on Hondas) of about 1-2 whp increase, usually with crappy grounds to start with.

*edit* There is a lot of talk about grounding in this thread:

i got it on ebay from Viva technology for $65.

http://stores.ebay.com/Viva-Technolo...QQftidZ1QQtZkm

they have the volt stabilizer with the grounding kit for $95. i've seen places selling just the pivot ground wires for like $85-$90. i bought the ground wire and volt stabilizer. reasoning for that is because to buy wiring and connectors and heat shrink would've cost me like $25-$35 anyways. so i figured why even bother when for the same price i can get a premade kit. you're right-the headlights are brighter and the stereo is louder-but it's not the louder part that's really the point. it's the fact that the sound is now crisper. the apexi or maybe it was sun did a volt stablizer and ground kit on some honda that dyno'd at like some ridiculous hp numbers. i think it was in import mag or something like that. i forgot what the exact hp numbers were, but you can find it on SLife somewhere i think.

ok here's where the ground stuff can be found-it was from tuner performance magazine:

http://www.tprmag.com/issue/8/apexi.shtml

they have a couple of diff ground/volt stabilizer systems there with dynos for each one. the dynos were done on miatas or civic del sols.
