Default Need Suspension Advice!! I am an all stock, clean slate.

All stock suspension except for a rear sway bar.

Here is what I am looking for:
  • A drop that is noticeable BUT not extreme.
  • Comfortable Suspension

In other words, I want to lower my car the least amount possible, but still make a noticable drop. I drive on speed bumps, rolled curbs: and roadways that defy the laws of gravity. My driveway is a rolled curb and as it is, I sometimes make contact with my bumper even with the super high stock suspension. I don't want to give my bumper a beating.

My second preference is comfort. Right now, I feel EVERY bump and jitter while on the roads. It feels like the wheels are directly attached to the body of the car.

So what do I need? Struts, shocks??? Gimme some advice and recommendations!

Honestly man, if you are not looking for an extreme drop and a comfortable ride coilovers are the way to go...air bags are hella comfortable but at the same time will drop your car to the extreme and will cost you a very pretty penny unless you can negotiate a price.

If your hitting now at stock height, your going to hit more even lowering just an inch or so. But H-Techs are a great ride with a small drop, but your still gonna hit your driveway. However, with air, you can raise up to clear the bumps, lower down some for driving, and slam when parked. I have a complete air package for 1,425.00, check out my website or PM for more info.

Unless you've got the $$ for air suspension, my suggestion is simply new Monroe Shocks & struts.
If you are scraping on the stock suspension, lowering it any amount is going to make it exponetially worse. Also any lowered suspension is going to give you a stiffer ride than stock.

hmm very interesting. what about stock height, BUT added comfort? stock is just too stiff for my tastes. id like some more bounce. is that possible?

The monroe shocks/struts are softer normally, but stiffen progressively. So you get a softer ride, but under hard cornering/etc. you still get minimal body roll.

Agreed. If you are sure you want to go lower, I say Tein H-techs or S-techs. S-techs would be dope.
