where can I get that new rear sway bar? I want to try to get rid of some of the body lean during corners. I see them for sale on the hotckis site. But will the rear sway bar help with the body lean?

To reduce the over all body roll of the xB, you want to use the full potential of the sway bars “Front and Rear”. The front sway bar improves turn in and quick steering response and the rear sway bar helps with the rotation around the corners.

I love my "Old" Hotchkis sway bar set. They made a big difference in handling and reduced body roll greatly. I can only describe the handling as precise and extremely agile now I have 7000 miles since install. (the very first time I drove the car after install as I turned right out of my buddies shops parking lot.....I nearly turned the car onto the right curb....the response was that much faster than what I was used to)

I was reading on a website that these new bars were tuned for race tires only...? These bars will be fine with regular street tires? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am just starting to learn about the suspension/handleing of my xa so I am new. Thanks for any info.

The new Hotchkis bars are most definitely stiffer than the previous rear bar, but still suitable for street use when using both front and rear. I have installed both front and rear bars and have 30K miles on street tires. Combination works awesome.

I stacked 2 of the old ones, and I'm wondering how they compare to the new bar.

I was originally planning on going with the TRD Rear Bar. However, I will now go ahead and get the Hotchkis bar seeing as it's 2 mm bigger.

Seems like lots of people say that our cars have more understeer if you add a front swaybar. Is this set an exception to that, or is there some dispute about whether a front bar is a help or hindrance?

I've heard understeer is stock set up on Scions and adding front and rear bars just make the understeer move to higher speed.... Adding just rear bar somewhat balances out the suspension with front factory swaybar left alone.....
