2004 Scion xB Side Step?
Hello all, I am new to this forum so I hope this goes to the correct place. I was checking if it was possible to mount a side step on my 2004 xB to access the roof rack?
any photos or info would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time

I recently installed a Dodge minivan roof rack on my 2005 xB. I bought a used Thule cargo box.....gotta fabricate some hold-down brackets to mount it onto the Dodge rack. Anyhow....
Never seen an xB with a side step. That being said, I know some Lincoln Navigators have motorized running boards on them. This is what I have done, and what I am trying to accomplish in my spare time:
Bought a used xB side skirt from a local salvage yard for $20......luckily it's the same body color as my 05 xB.
Bought a motorized Lincoln Navigator running board assembly from same local salvage yard. Paid $45
And here's what I am doing.....hopefully:
Mount the entire lower side skirt of the xB onto the motorized Lincoln Navigator running board BRACKETS so that the entire side skirt moves away from the side of the xB..........use the side skirt as the step.........reinforce the backside of the side skirt so that it is sturdy enough to hold my body weight.
Now somebody's gonna steal my fame. Haha.
Anything is possible with some skills and imagination.
