Default Pics of Hood Scoop from Red Genie

Here are some preliminary designs that Red Genie wants to produce. These are photoshoped and are not the actual parts but the final design should look very similar.

The hood will have rolled edges on the sides and will be a 2 PIECE kit. The scoop itself will be separate and it can be replaced with any other scoop that Red Genie comes out with in the future. You can also chose the material on both the scoop and the hood - carbon fiber, carbon kevlar (colored) or fiberglass. This way you can choose from different style scoops that will be made available. The hood itself will have a cut out to accomodate any of the Red Genie scoops. I believe that you can only use this scoop with their hood.

As mentioned by Red Genie, they will give a big discount to the first 10-15 people who would like to put a deposit in order to expedite the release date. Remember that with SEMA and the upcoming holiday there will be a limited time to get the product designed and ordered.

You can PM Red Genie or PM me...if you want to leave a deposit you can PM Red Genie or if you are a TSW member, see me during one of the meets.

Any suggestions and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Here is the picture of hood scoop.

UPDATE:

Just spoke to Tim and he mentioned that if we can get the deposits (at least 7 to 10 with a $150 deposit) the hood can be sent out and we should have it be December 19th 2003 if all goes well. These are for the folks with a deposit.

They are really good with following up and giving updates on product release so rest assured that he will deliver what he says and if there are any delays he will let us know right away.

umm...the grille is too aggressive...only looks good with body/lips kit..

try something more OEM looking...would look cleaner..
just my thought..

The scoop will have an opening to the engine bay
It will let more air flow into the engin bay to cool down the temperature
But since there is no top mount intercooler for xB yet
I call it semi functional :D

Joe..huy! I took off the picture but if you want to see it this is it...

That will be on a different thread. They want to concentrate on one project at a time so they can put 100% on it. When they are ready for the grilles...I or they will post it.

How about an off-centered scoop?

Sorry we decided not to make an off-center scoop
However, since we decided to make it 2 pieces, there will be optional scoop in the future

Mesh can be mounted on the scoop, but it doesn't come with it
