Default Tail Light Redout Kit Installed

Heres a couple pictures of Blue Batmobiles tail light redout kit installed on my black cherry xb. The install was fairly easy, but then again I have alot of experience with working with vinyl. Just remove the lights and use lots of soapy water so you can position the vinyl perfectly, then smooth out with your thumb. I spent about an hour installing them. That was with a beer/smoke break in between.
one side done:

finished:

hey randy that kit looks Fing great on your cherry xB :]
it took me a bit longer but i have only limited experience with window tint. i put the xB in the sun the next day and it sealed the vinyl to the plastic great...no bubbles. the redout kit makes the tail lights have a very stock appearance that i think they should have come with IMO.

looks good.

looks good. can't wait to see it in person. the only concern i have is with the reverse lights. they will shine red now, or does the vinyl not tint the light to the point where it shines red? if it looks pink or almost white, that would be good enough for me. i'm not trying to sound like a dork, but if you were backing up and someone hit you, it might be your fault since they thought you were just braking instead of in reverse. you know?

looks way better.
Do they have the same level of shine to them as a plastic lens? In other words, are they more "dull" in appearance?

i wonder how it would look on white. it seems like black cherry is the best color for this kit. might be too red for a white car. i actually like the stock taillights on white, but they would be terrible on black, blue or camo.

although toyota invented altezzas (the lights) which became hugely popular so they can invent frosty white lights too i guess. you have to give toyota some credit for not just slapping altezzas on our cars and calling it "hip".

i may eventually switch to the smoked overlays. I think they would look good since the windows are dark anyway. The smoked would look gross on a white on IMO.

Looks great Randy :D ! How about more pics, maybe some closeups, so I can add them to my Gallery BTW, I will be offering a kit without the reverse covered up, so the light will shine white. Otherwise, for you that ordered the redout kit, and don't want the reverse in red, simply mark the overlay and cut it off before applying it Email me if you're interested. Click my Link below to view my kits.

i agree completely with everything you said eric. i think the smoked would look good on a white xB as long as all the windows have tint...kinda like a dark/black on white...which in my opinion looks good.
i also agree with the fact that toyota didnt slap altezzas on the xB and expect it to look 'cool'.
