This is the one time I didnt use an OEM filter... note to self, never again. explains why it was free with the purchase of the oil

which filter did you buy,was it the cheap one or the nice multi-stage filter?

it was the fram tough guard tg4967, the correct one for the 1NZ

I honestly dont care about different oil filters... so Ill just stick with my OEMs

Side note, its sad the most reliable vehicle that I own is my 4G63 second gen DSM with a 14B factory trim and an autotragic

I had a stuck pressure reliefe valve and blew up and oil filter before..

the clean up is such fun...

Bird... yeah, its horrid

On the rollers the DSM is at 240 with just an emanage and a tune...

and all the Buschur Racing and Extreme Motorsports stuff I could get and a 20g of course
2 turbos
head blown
compressor blew up
transfer case demolished
plus many more issues

Mines all stock with a front mount painted black to disguise it to the unknowing eye... I have a 20G in my closet, but once I get the turbo manifold for the xB the 14B is going onto it and the 20G is going on the DSM... after that, I see crankwalk in my future

Fail Box ate another filter today, this time an oem. I only about 1500 miles since last oil change, raced twice... I'm beginning to think this car just doesn't like me
