you would need to add a few qualifiers like F/I or stock to find an answer.

other than that , ask hotbox05,

Im also curious, but judging from the responses so far... we probably wont find an answer here.

The highest WHP Ive seen from an xB has been the ZPI Racing xB (from their video). It made 184whp and 171wtq at 7.5psi.

Hmm. Interesting stuff...

I was searching Google for "greddy emanage scion xb" to read up on it and what not and I ran into this link.

http://www.dragtimes.com/Scion-xB-Timeslip-8488.html

Turbo xB that ran 13.1 @ 110mph.
I wonder if he's on any of the forums.

EDIT::

I found one faster than 13.1...

12.6 @ 108

oxymoron - amen. We be trolling I think.

xB is about style (odd), comfort (decent), price:value (excellent),and utility (decent); definitely not speed. It ain't a sports car or a dragster. This gray hair says you must not know too much about fast cars to have thought otherwise. javascript:emoticon('')
Come Here

Turn up the stereo and enjoy something besides getting smoked by nearly anyone that puts their foot in it. Just wave bye bye to them. It is small 4 cylinder, FWD for Pete's sake, so 1/4, 1/8 mile ET are a silly idea, waste of spectators time. Little bitty engine, so no point in trying high speed stuff. Most of y'all bought automatics so I know they won't get up and go. It is fun to stay off the brakes when cornering, but that is about it speedwise.

If I had to guess an automatic xB might do low 20's in the 1/4. I am probably being optimistic.

Mike

I have two! '05 xB and '06 xB. [Good for keeping my wheelchairs and walkers in the back. ]

those numbers are BS...the dyno they use corrects things and favors higher hp numbers.

ask them to show the baseline run

i'm running 11+psi and putting down 145-150 (depends on the weather)

Forget the ZPI Racing xB...

I added 2 links to my post above. One xB runs 13.1 the other runs 12.6...

I wonder how much power those two cars are making.

BTW, you can make a 100whp car have 200whp by changing the correction factors on the dyno. I wonder which correction they were running...

The Starlet was Toyota's answer to the 1970's oil embargo. 1000cc engine, it would do 0 -60mph in 23 sec. Great googlymoogly what a ball of fire! I drove a loaded moving van that was as fast. Made the Chevette look quick indeed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Starlet

Someone mentioned 145- 150 HP. Y'all are intent on making my point stronger than I can. You could get 150HP out if a 60's Beetle and it weighed a lot less. And no matter how good FWD gets, RWD is the bomb at the strip. Sheesh, you can by outboards motors that make 250HP.

Boxes are made for cruising. They will never excel at speed work; though if you keep your foot off the brake and you can wet your depends with them. I know I do.

Anyone made a low rider out of a box yet? I am looking for that. Those short over hangs...they ought to pop up real nice.

Old Slow "doesn't know nothin" Mike

1have two! '05 xB and '06 xB.

Perhaps you can enlighten the old one on some sanctioned races that use front wheel drive cars........street racing Hondas don't count.
