Default Hi from Singapore!!

Hi folks!! I'm engr from Singapore. Found the Scion forum very informative. Hope to learn more stuff from you amazing people! I am a DIY fanatic and have done up some stuff on my IST=xA.. Partically crazy about lights!! Would luv to try changing the guage lights. Anyway we got pretty bored with the stock guages and had a makeover for it! Costs US$110 or so..

EL xA Guage

Oh yeah, just to share some nice picts of our gatherings over here in Singapore.

LOVE the guage makover! If you ever do a makover kit for the US model xA (note that our steering is on the left, so the guages are reversed, and the speedo is marked in mph and kph) please let us know.

What I'd like to see is an all-digital guage cluster, with multi-color bar graphs for both speedo and tach....

Default To folk from Singapore

WELCOME

If you didn't notice by now, This is the first time Toyota are bringing Ist and bB to this side of the world, and we all are extremely excited about this and its potential.
Since this is still a new release for us, information and/or mod are still in its infancy.
Any information/ product are greatly welcome. If you have someone/site with a nice mod to sell. please forward it to here. "Group buy" baby...

BTW: welcome to this "GREAT" board. May be in a few years, you'll get the tC too... :D

Wow i'm happy to see the quick response!! First of all, there r no bB or xBs in Singapore.. And the ist costs a freaking S$75,000 here!! About US$42200!!! I understand u can get 2.5 xAs at this price!! We r a super tiny country so the govt imposes HUGH taxes of 130%+++ of the original purchased price.. Crazy isnt it?? As for ists being popular, the version we have is the 1.3l only. As it is the most expensive 1.3 in the local market, it is not that popular as the Honda Jazz. The club has about 90 registered members and we have regular meetups every week.I will definately be very keen to share the mod we have over here. As for the EL guage, I didnt even realise that the xA and xB has a different orientation of symmetry. It is customised but we would probably need a sample over here to get it done up. IF you guys are really keen I wouldnt mid acting as your rep for FREE... No problems about that. Just for info, the EL was designed to be an overlay so that the needles need not be removed at all to prevent any accuracy issues. The brightness is able to be adjust and the blue can be selected as green as well.. Yeah the picts that were posted were from one of our meetups. We r also talking to the club ist of Japan but language is a real barrier... Much easiler to talk to you folks

dude reread what he said. He said "I could buy 2.5 xA's for that price" that means he could buy two and a half for the price of one here... not a 2.5L engine.

Good choice.....he's an awesome designer.
