I have an 05 xb with 190,000 miles
the sound I am getting sounds like a wheel bearing just replaced 5,000 miles ago. When I was checking the wheel bearing before I replaced them I jacked up the car. Put it in gear eased out on the clutch both wheels turned. So this time checking for the sound jacked up the car eased out on the clutch no sound of bearing. Gave it some gas engine jumped. Walked around found that the right tire was not spinning can feel it trying. Would sure like sone help if you can thanks

Doesn't sound like the safest thing to do in the world, but I ride a bike to work so...
Is the left wheel spinning at twice the speed it would normally do at idle? If so, then the brake on the right has applied enough force to stop the wheel from turning and the jump you felt was the sudden change in inertia of stopping one wheel and turning the other. In this situation you differential is spinning like crazy.

Perhaps the brake on the right is the sound you are hearing??

Oh and congrats on the 190K miles
