Default Sad and Ironic.

So im going to make this short.

1. I wake up.
2. I go to church with my mother.
(i'm catholic)
3. I ask the priest if he could bless my car.
4. I get in my car to bring it closer since we parked quite a ways down.
5. I'm waiting for passing traffic to let me make a left into a parking spot.
6. I look to my right.
7. Its a BIG ___ Grand Marquis backing up and not stopping.
8. I feel the impact of our 2 cars meeting.
9. I'm feeling like "what the f"
10. I move my car out of the way.
11. I look at my rear/right bumper.
12. I get ____ed.
13. I calm down.
14. I look at my car.
15. I get ____ed.
16. We handle the exchange of information.
(She's a nice elderly woman but cmon!)
17. My car gets blessed.
18. I'm f in ____ed and sad.

F!

*Had to let it out.

This sucked and plus the fact that i was going to church to have it blessed.

Damage:

Im guessing that my whole rear bumper has to be replaced, because the upper and lower portion of the rear/right side is damaged.
I see some marks, maybe damage), to the fender and some marks to my tires/hubs.
:?: Could that have possibly screwed up my alignment or have affected my car in any other way?

This just plain SUCKS!

inattentive older women don't seem to like the Scions.. it was the same story for me when my baby xA was a week old and someone tried to parallel park in front of it..

either way, just remember that it's a car, and cars can always get fixed but what you say can do irrepairable damage so props for not screaming at the poor old thing..

sorry to hear about the damage, hope it gets fixed soon and well!

at least you refrained from killing her...you'll proably make it to heaven.
sorry about your car, but at least metal can be fixed. Nobody was hurt, that's really what matters (that and you not having to pay for the repairs).

Sorry to hear about your accident.

At least your car is now blessed and the old lady's insurance might bless you with extra insurance money for a new body kit (just a positive thinking here).

I dont remember "Thou shall not say the F word in anger" in the bible.

I do however remember "dont judge less yee be judged."

But in all seriousness...dont curse too much on the boards...it should be family oriented...

As a moderator I am supposed to keep a friendly environment. So dont curse much so I dont have to edit posts....I dont like to do it.

Getting hit by a FOP (f in old person) is bad enough but it has to be a granny. I got hit by one a few years ago and not only did she deny hitting me (about 10 people saw her do it) but she left the scene too. I had to press hit and run charges against her, got her license plate number and had her name and car investigated. Turned out she didn't have insurance and she had her license taken away from her. After that every old lady I came in contact with was a total biyatch to me. I wonder if they have old lady bulletins because one was sent out on my behalf. Only this year have old ladies been nice to me again.

Last time I was a Catholic, my dad got his brand new Cadillac bless by a priest and it got stolen and smashed to bits.

I believe in blessings. But, I dont' think God had "blessing a vehicle" in his mind when he came up with the concept.

it seems odd to me that priests would even bless material possesions. wouldn't it make more sense to bless the person, not the car? or is that played out and they are looking for more "modern" things to bless now?

Next time try putting some of the holy water in a flask, taking it home and adding it to your bucket of soap when you wash it. Then you can make sure the whole car gets blessed when you wash it. Maybe he only blessed your seat and seat belt, thats why you are safe. When you wash it in holy water and you cover every inch of the car, then you can make sure the blessing covers the whole car! (note to self... maybe you should wash the bumbers twice.)

or you can just pour some holy water in the radiator. That might work great.
