Scion xB Side Marker Light and pigtail
My sole purpose of starting this thread is the possibility that it may help someone down the road. My xB had a front blowout that destroyed the plastic inner fender, side marker light housing, marker socket and the plug. I spent hours on Google trying to find replacement parts. The light housing is easy, they are plentiful on eBay. Next was the socket.. I believe the OEM part # for the socket is 9007560005. Those are also easy to acquire. The problem for me was the electrical pigtail replacement. I called the dealer and found out they only sell the complete harness. I went to my local junkyard and no scions were available or other Toyotas with the same plug. I then emailed about 20 EBay sellers with scions being parted. Most of them had dismantled the xB and scrapped the body with the wiring intact. I found one seller that still had the wiring but they refused to ship "electrical and glass." That left me past due on inspection and a fast blinker. I took a light to the parts store and found Dorman #84803 for "1994-84 Acura/Honda". A two wire pigtail is built in so that eliminates the need to locate the plug. The socket housing is made from a flexible rubber type material that grips the scion light nicely when twisted in. It also uses the same 194 bulb. I can't comment on the long term use of this, but I am going this route since the proper OEM replacement is not available.
