THREAD BACK FROM THE DEAD @___@ It's weird to read these posts. I keep wanting to respond with certain comments, and seeing that I already did...in 2006!

I can see turning off the traction control (the car is quicker) but I don't see any reason to deactivate the VSC.

I want to try a time attack or autocross in the future and i think it would just slow me down on the turns.

VSC will keep you from spinning out and possibly flipping it over - it also warns you when you start to skid in a turn before the front or back end breaks loose. Killing the traction control would be a good idea because that cuts power to the engine when the front wheels start to slip - almost stalled me out on a up hill driveway in slippery snow a few years ago.
