So I saw the new special edition xB and I'm curious if I am able to just buy the badges on the special edition? I don't want to plasti dip mine black I want an actual black set of badges so maybe has some dealer connections? Thanks in advance.

If it will be possible, I guarantee it will be like Release Series specific parts, where you would need a vin number of a special edition to get the replacement parts, dealer connections or not.
That being said, the parts were incredibly expensive. And usually only the lip kits that were possible to obtain. Take for instance a grille from an rs6.0 or rs9.0, or even the rs9.0 illuminated badge, impossible.

Honestly though I don't see it being possible for the 686 editions. Since its the last year they won't care about having replacement parts like that available. And 686 of these xb's is a very scarce amount. rs editions were like 1,500-2,000 units.


Why is plastidip your only option? Take your time, use quality primer, paint, and clear, maybe some sand paper, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the badges on the 686. Buy extra emblems on eBay if you don't want to use the ones on your xb now
