yes i know wat you mean. i can get it for $7.00 a QT and $13.00 for a yr oil filter full syn oil filter.but i dont know about running it for 25,000 miles.maybe 10,000 you would just have to check it to see when it get dirty lookin.

I wouldn't go more than 10,000 miles between oil/filter changes with any oil/filter, no matter what the manufacturer claims. Dirty looking oil isn't necessarily bad but unless you go through the hassle of taking a sample and having it analyzed, it's better to just change it.
The primary reason I won't be using Amsoil is that I can get a 5 qt jug of Mobil One for $22 at Walmart. I bought a $10 Fram XL4967 filter for the first change but I think I'll go with another from here on. The Fram filter is smaller than the Toyota filter and I don't like that.

I've run at least a dozen different oils in at least a dozen different cars, motorcycles and trucks over the past 30 years with not one oil-related problem.
Interesting infomercial. I wonder what the trick is? High Zinc content for metal to metal protection? Luckily, modern engines never have any direct metal to metal contact unless something goes very wrong.
