Default Any recommendations for boosting low and/or midband torque?

So, what's a good way to incrementally increase the xB2 2AZ-FE low and/or midband torque over stock? I'm interested in max bang-for-the-buck! Any thoughts?

Thanks -- Trevor

Thanks!

It would be nice to know what made the main difference -- intake, exhaust, header, or "black box" ?

Based on the HP and torque gains displayed, I'm guessing all 4 are necessary; trying to pick and choose just 2 or 3 probably would only give about 1/2 the increased output.

As coryjames likes to say: "You got to pay to play."

Lol! It's true. Seriously. More good quotes, "got to have dough to make bread." "Can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs." etc.

From googling around, I learned that although the TRD exhaust adds a nice look and sound, it only adds about 2HP max. That suggests other axleback exhausts might be a better performance choice. Strup? Tsudo? Borla?

Also, does improving the exhaust flow hurt or help low and/or midband torque?

Axel back exhausts don't add much, if anything, by themselves to our '08 xB's. You've got to get rid of the scuba tank resonator (that contains a secondary Cat), and replace it with a high flow Cat. If I remember correctly coryjames and SiXX have all the info you'll need.
