The Borla is a pretty good setup, you can actually feel the difference from the stock one, feels like it flows a whole lot better. As long as u dont want something too loud this is a great setup to go with. If your looking for volume you might wanna remove the cat/muffler and get a magnaflow one or something like that. I had the dual Borla for a while and got into a small accident, someone hit me from behind while coming to a stop, anyway they ruined my original Borla and I ordered a BRAND NEW one. The day I got my replacement Borla dual exhaust kit was the same day my air runner kit came in, once the air runner install was complete I noticed that the Borla would not work with my install so I went with a full custom dual exhaust from a local shop. If anyone is interested I will sell my Borla dual exhaust that is BRAND NEW in box for super cheap . . . let me know if anyones interested

borla is pretty quiet, the tanabe is even quieter! HKS is aight, the flowmaster is gonna be ridiculously loud unless you replace the cat. i think Daily XB Type R had a thread on the flowmaster, I might be wrong though. try search, u should find the original thread. My advice, just get the weaponR header/Spipe combo, than go custom exhaust from the S pipe. Thats my plan . . .

It was actually Magnaflow, but still a good thread for those looking for options:

if you don't remove the gigantic factory resonator the car comes with, they will all be quiet

step 1 is to get that out of there, the rest is up to your taste

I'd say for loud, and deep, go 12" glasspack off the header to a single in double out flowmaster 40, or single single and it will just be sick.

There's some youtubes of a tC with that set up, or close to it

TRDsparks has the Dual Borla Exhaust for $350.41 plus shipping:
http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1958

Keep in mind that it is basically just split axle-back pipes with tips, and has no mufflers or resonators at all.

talk about feeling ripped off! haha. nah but i bought a big order of things that came up to over $2600 so they hooked me up with free shipping to hawaii. with cf hood and all the other parts the shipping alone would have been around 600 or more so i didnt complain about anything. but man 130 less, thats a good deal over at trdsparks . . .

Resonators quiet the car down. They are like mini-mufflers, or in most cases, are basically the same as mufflers but for some reason they get called resonators. Resonators are part of the exhaust system. Without them, your car will be obnoxiously loud, and probably sound raspy

You dont need to buy a resonator every car comes with one already, all u need to do is just buy the mufflers and u will be stright.

Nope all you need is the exhaust and you will be fine, you can even put it your self because its bolt on....

Also buy a CAI i have one on my XA, it doesn't help much with the exhaust noise but it does make a nice sound in the front of the car cause of the air flow. If you want a nicer noise with your exhaust get a new Header, i installed a Megan header and a Tanabe exhaust and they both sound nice together. And you will be fine with the emission with this setup, because you are just replacing you exhaust and nothing else.
