CEL eliminators, antifoulers, and O2 simulators
So when it comes to these new high tech engines I'm pretty much lost. all my wrenching and tuning experience is pretty much with old school carbed motors. So here's the noob question what are CEL eliminators, antifoulers, and O2 simulators and how do they work?
I understand the sensors a bit just not how to work around them...

I've checked that out on weapon-r's site before. That little blurb of info doesn't say if it is just an extension from where the sensor would usually screw in or if it is something different. That is more the nature of my questions. I understand that exhaust pressures and o2/oxygen ratio's are what throw a CEL. Is an anitfouler just something inside an exhaust to buffer the flow of gasses? Is an o2 simulator a card something that plugs into the computer to trick the car into not turning on a CEL? To anybody who knows the answer to these questions i would apriciate some help.

I have used the Weapon R one in my tC and in my second gen xB now. They are the only one that I know of that has worked 100% of the time. I tryed the antifoulers and they didn't work. I say the weapon R for sure.
Here is what it does. When you do a header, the 1st and 2nd O2 sensor read the same reading. By moving the 2nd O2 sensor out of the loop alittle it reads a different reading and keeps the CEL off.

There seems to be a little confusion here. The xB pre cat sensor is an A/F ratio senor not an O2 sensor. An A/F sensor has better control of the fuel delivery, then an O2 sensor.
With an O2 sensor pre cat the signal it produces is very fast, bouncing from rich to lean conditions, with a varied voltage .if the secondary post cat 02 follows this pattern on this type of setup a P0420 cat below efficiency code will be set.
The ECU will see this wave form and interpret this as too much oxygen in the exhaust stream.
An A/F ratio sensor no longer bounces from rich to lean, it will produce a certain voltage based on the actual oxygen content and maintain that voltage until the oxygen content changes. The post cat voltage should move really slow, in a very lazy manner.
If the post cat O2 gets too active a P0420 code will be set.
An antifouler places the secondary O2 further away from the exhaust stream. An O2 simulator is just a chip that plugs into the connector for the O2 and simulates a good secondary O2 wave form so the ECU does not throw a CEL.
Soldering a resistor on the secondary O2 signal wire produces the same effect.

All you do is take out the second 02 sensor. Put in the CEL eliminator peice, put your sensor back in the CEL eliminator and you are set. It is not hard to do. Takes about 10-15 minutes.

man its pretty simple part.. I could have made this at work...
I would figure it would have had a orifice inside but its just a 90deg tube with threads...
Man who ever though of this was smart!! to comeup with something so simple..

remember guys the CEL Eliminator is adjustable. Sometimes if the CEL is tightened too far inside the O2 bung the CEL might come on. Just back it out a little so that the tip of the CEL isn't too far inside the exhaust gas flow.

anyone have a pic of what these guys look like??? im kinda confused is it a o2 sensor or a adaptor that the o2 sensor screws into? or a chip or whatever that plugs into the conector?
im asking because i have already changed the o2 sensor and had a aftermarket cat installed.
light was off for about 2 or 3 months after the new cat, but its back on and same code.
any help would be apreciated.
